President

Joined May 2023Matt Seidl is the Spatial Platform Modernization Offering Director for 1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell. Matt and his wife Kimberly have 4 kids that are active readers and love their books. His favorite genre is Science Fiction, including the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown, the Suneater series by Christopher Ruocchio, and the Expanse series by James S.A. Corey. Matt enjoys volunteering for the Rapid City Library Foundation Board because he gets to work with a great team of caring people.

Jeremy Altman
Vice President
Elected May 2024Jeremy Altman is a principal architect with Architecture Incorporated. A large part of his design work deals with K-12 education facilities. His favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkien and in his spare time enjoys traveling, often to Japan and England. He volunteers with several organizations including the WDT CADD Advisory Board and the Rapid City Historic Preservation Commission.

Christine Jones
Joined July 2021
Christine is a retired counselor and educator who passionately believes in lifelong learning. She joined the Foundation Board as a liaison from the Library Trustee Board. She is proud of the Library, its staff, and the many services offered to the citizens of our region. It is an honor to work on behalf of our community.

Brittany Richman
Joined September 2023
Brittany Richman is an award winning children’s book author, mom, and former political staffer who worked for the White House and Congress. She is also a 2025 Presidential Leadership Scholar and the cofounder of the popular The American Moms on Instagram. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where some of her core memories are visiting her local library. She has an MFA in writing for children and young adults.

Terri Davis
Library Director
Terri Davis has been Director of the Rapid City Public Library since 2017. She has served in public libraries in Brookings SD, Caldwell ID, Deadwood SD, Fremantle Western Australia, the Shire of Dardanup Western Australia, and Rapid City. Terri has held leadership roles in the South Dakota Library Association, the South Dakota Humanities Council, the South West Library Consortium (Australia), and the Black Hills Library Consortium. She is an avid non-fiction reader, particularly in the areas of history and science, and is a member of Rapid City Rushmore Rotary.
